Soo.. this will be where I write about all my fantastic adventures in Ghana and Spain. I will update it as much as I can for all you lovely people. I leave september 30th from Vancouver and will be flying to London to switch planes and then to Accra! Kelsie Richards is the one coming with me as you all probably know. When we get to Accra we are staying there for the night at the senior staff members home where they have volunteer accommodations. The next day they will take us to Ofaakar which is the village where we will be living for 8 weeks! We will be volunteering at the Good Shepherd Orphanage and living in their volunteer dormitories. The orphanage currently has 76 children from the ages of 2-16. There is a school beside the orphanage where the kids attend. They have several soccer teams as well. Kelsie and I will be getting the kids ready before school and managing them after. We get to organize different games and activities for the kids, teach them english, help them with their homework etc. We will be someone the kids can talk to about their problems and show them our love and support! After our 8 weeks in Ghana we are heading off to Barcelona to stay in a hostel for 5 nights and then flying to Nerja which is right on the ocean in Spain! We will be staying in a time share for a week and then flying home dec 11th with a pit stop in London for the night! Flying out the next day back to Vancouver.
