Wow is it ever hot here. Yesterday was the worst, all I wanted to do was lay in my bed and not move. Anyways, on monday I taught my class like usual. I gave the kids there math and science midterm.. most of them did awesome! Tuesday all of us volunteers went to Accra to say goodbye to Jimmy. We went to Accra mall and got pizza and icecream! Then we went to shoprite to buy some healthy food because we eat rice and fried things every day. We hung out with Jimmy for the day and then came back to the orphanage. On wednesday morning I was going to teach after the break because the kids have worship every wednesday morning. Some kids came knocking on my door saying that the madame was calling me to come teach them. I went and apparently it was parent teacher interviews for the kids that aren't orphans at the school and the teacher wanted me to teach all day. She quickly showed me a few things to teach and then left. I taught english, science and was going to teach RME (religious moral education) after lunch. I had no lesson plan for any of them because she gave me no notice.. I figured it out though and it was a pretty great day other then the heat. After lunch Kelsie and I went back to our room to cool off because she had been teaching her class all day also and our classrooms are outside. We both fell asleep and woke up too late to go back and teach after lunch. It worked out good though because all the teachers were back. In this kind of heat you just don't want to do anything sometimes. I hope everyone has a good halloween, they don't celebrate halloween here but it is my good friend Beatrices 16th birthday on sunday so we will do something fun for her. We were going to take her, Eric and Israel ( the older ones) about 15 and 16 years old to the beach on saturday because we are super close with those 3. Turns out Israel is leaving for school today :( They finally have placed him at a high school. Beatrice and Eric are not leaving yet so we will probably still take them. Oh I should also mention that I will never complain about doing laundry at home again because it is a workout here. The kids do so much work. Anyways, I'm loving it here still and I miss you all!
